This painting was carried out in a cow shed looking toward farm buildings. The small painting focuses on texture, surface and colour.
The colour typifies the changes of light in midwinter and the texture and surfaces of the mud and water which has built up on the floor creating light and dark areas. Small amounts of straw have been incorporated into the surface for added texture.
