Description:
Oil painting on canvas. A walk on the Jurassic coast provides the inspiration for this painting. As I stood looking at the bay from the distance, I became aware of the sky to the left of me and the sea to the right. Looking back Wass another bay with steps through the landscape down to the sea. Strong wind was blowing from the sea . the red edge on the right of the paining was used to represent the danger of the cliff.
Following many attempts to capture the feeling of the landscape on the canvas I moved to a vertical format which created the feeling I experienced standing in the landscape.
